COURAGE AND COWARDS
Good day to you friends.
In our time change to darker early,and sun up sooner days I realize this brings forth holiday thoughts. So as the days go by I will be turning you on to different sites, and places to purchase all types of gifts for your loved ones.

My friend Julz Manlapaz
Today I get up, Make my coffee, Journal, and wish my roommate a great day. Today I wake up grateful for life, and the possibilities of life and friendship.
Yesterday my good friend Julz Manlapaz went under the needle excepting a new Kidney in her life. It is an amazing story of courage, and faith, and patience.
When I met Julz she blew up the room with life fire. As we Developed our friendship I realized this person truly lives in love. When we first met I believe she was something like 20,000 on a waiting list for a new kidney. I have never seen this girl break, only support others and believe.
Julz is a manifest queen. She has only reminded me of how much love there is to share, and that to overcome adversity you must believe and create joy. Joy in yourself, and joy with others. She is always one to remind me that I am loved and have a friend in love on the other side of the country that has my back, and supports me through anything I may be up against.
As the months have gone by with no news of getting bumped up in line waiting for a new organ we get the info that she has indeed been bumped up, and bumped up, and has been selected for a new kidney.
As I find myself distracted in my theories on life, and love, and community. As I find myself trying to figure this life out, trying to find answers. Julz found a kidney.
I am happy to say she is in recovery, she is sitting up and sounds(through facebook)awesome.
JULZ YOU DID IT!!!!
Julz you are a reminder that we live in a powerful beautiful universe, and the belief in that universe and in yourself is what makes us go round and round.

Today I started a new journal... well the first page I wrote a while ago and re-opened it (today) to read.
"I am therefore I am.
I choose to start this book with a statement.
I choose to choose all that I choose in the name of experience.
Therefore I am.
I am the breath of the ocean.
I am the will of everyone.
I choose to start this off with a statement therefore I am.
Exceeding all boundries, elevating to the highest ground.

How to fix headphones
I was in an airport in London and I was the right weight and size on my bag, and to my discovery i did not have to pay the 30Pound (48.something $s) baggage fee....this was followed by a YES!!! Upon saving this money I did what every fully expressed and other type of American would do. I spent it on a pair of headphones. I went to the airport electronics store and started my comparison shopping. Looking for the right Hrtz and bass quality. The size and comfortable capability were at the utmost importance. I found a pair of Phillips headphones around the same price I would of spent on the bags.
The quality was great, compact and portable. I had been carrying my studio headphones around and they sound great, but are a pain in the ass to transport.(taking up a huge amount of room in your bag)
So I bought them, plugged them in and the sound was awesome. Everything I could of wanted.
I get to my seat check out the movies for my 11.5 hour flight, and was stoked to see choices. 20 minutes into my first on board movie adventure The girl sitting next to me (a cute hippie gal, that said nothing and had a cold) needed to use the rest to the room. As i got was getting up she said "I can climb over" and I was not into that so i got up pretty quick, as she passed I discovered m head phones were pulled out of the plug, but the1/8 inch connector still in the plug... my headphones were ruined. (Karma laughed to herself)
So to quicken this story I have been on a mission to fix my headphones, and this morning after two attempts.... I HAVE DONE IT.
Not a big feat, but satisfying for my gym time that is going to happen in 20.
So if you have nice cones, and they are broke, don't chuck , look up.
You will need a solder gun, some solder, and 1/8inch jack from radio shack, and a steady hand.
please if your young get an adult, because burning yourself sucks...or actually it burns
here is a helpful tip friends. watch this video if in need of this assistance, if not don't bother with the vid.

Answers to questions
Hey friends.
High fives to you on this beautiful Sunday morning. I am sitting at Jitters coffee pub in Oceanside,SD. Home of so many of my closest friends. I love this place. I always have a special place in my heart for the gems you find in your life that bring you comfort and a real sense of Family. Jitters is that place for me.
I woke this morning on yet another friends Futon wondering if there cat will make me sneeze. The answer is yes, But not to bad. Seven ah-choo's in a row, kissed my finger, pointed to the sky, dripped a 40 on the floor to my homies and fell asleep.
I woke to two emails that stuck a sense of emptiness inside.
1. Solomon Burke passed. A true legacy in music. I suggest his "Nashville" album. Thanks You Solomon for what you gave us.
2. This one made me laugh at personal standards. The email was addressed to my attention as I lifted my self from my friends Futon.
It said
"Sleeping on couches is something you do in your 20's" (Being 35 I get the point or what I make the point up to be)
also there was a ...
"why don't you go more mainstream."
Which brings me to the point of this blog.
"What Happened with the liz Phair mini tour?"
well a proper answer would be "not much"
I went in did my thing, performed the way I do, spoke the way I speak, gave the way I give.
It was not for Liz. That's the whole story.
Not her cup of tea.
I thank her immensely for the opportunity to open in LA that night. I commit to let go of any wound that I came up with over being fired.(I have been fired a few times, but not in 15 years)
My punk side says "If I DIDN'T get fired from the Liz Phair tour something THEN would be terribly wrong!"... my inner Tard showing.
Its all great and wonderful, and its all made up.
All feelings, all meaning, all of it. Made up....i love how universe works.

Consciousness: a sense of ones personal or collective identity including the attitude, beliefs and sensitivities held by or considered characteristic of an individual or group.
(Love of freedom runs deep in the conciseness of our nation)
and our hearts are afraid to grow.
Let your heart know today that there is only love and other forms of it.
Love is all natural in creation and we are but loves perfect expression.

Compost is cool
here is this mornings superforest.org BLOG... Thought I would pass it on
I started with an experiment last fall, collecting all my compostable things in a tupperware container, and seeing how much I was wasting by throwing those things away was enough to kick my butt into gear and start composting properly. The answers to my questions were simple.
Where will my compost go? There are three units in my building; together we contribute to the compost heap out back. When it’s ready, some goes to the tiny raised beds in our driveway, and the rest is shared with a community garden down the hill.
I produce so little, does it really matter? After my little tupperware experiment, it was clear that I did NOT produce so little, and when combined with my neighbors, we’ve got ourselves so much compost that we don’t even use it all.
So, if you need a little kick start like I did, just collect your compostable bits for a week. See how much there is (you’ll be surprised). And, check out these wacky things that can be composted (I learned this from Gayla of You Grow Girl):
* Gum
* Hair
* Toothpicks
* Pet bedding (Rabbits, hamsters, and other herbivores only!!)
* Paper egg cartons
* Tissues and paper toweling (Depending on what was on them)
* Cotton balls (Depending on what was on them)
* Paper bags
* Toilet rolls
* Shredded paper, newspaper, receipts and documents (non-glossy)
* Wine corks
* Matches
* Dry dog food (Be careful about attracting vermin but makes a good compost activator for getting your pile rocking.)
* Cardboard
* Old spices and herbs from the cupboard
* Nut shells
* Wine (Another decent compost activator)
* Felt, old wool, bamboo or cotton socks
* Dust from sweeping and vacuuming
* Old pasta
* Spoiled flower bouquets and their water
Wow! Compost, watch your trash pile shrink, and feel good about putting something awesome back into the earth. If you need instructions, just do some Googling. There are a myriad of site out there with good guides.

Last day in love, But first day in love for the rest of my life.
Hawaii was an amazing opportunity for my whole band to be in celebration. This trip could not of come at a better time with the album completion growing to a close. WE laughed our heads off, was blessed by a virtuoso didgeridoo master, Contributed in community, surfed, hiked, and kicked ass at a show with the Make Peace Brothers, and Justin Kredible. This is my last lil quick vid on the week.

Life is living in me this day of days. The day before earth day, and day after herb day. I leave for Kauai in a couple hours. The magical place where "puff" did his stuff, and I'm talk'n bout the magic dragon. When I get to experience the glorious islands it feel's more of a calling, then a trip. A well deserved awakening from the sleepy stew of repetitive life. Out of LA you fly for 6 hrs and 3 min over nothing but blue, to suddenly spot in the distance an awakening of sorts. LAND HO! A happy place that has only brought me joy, self discovery, and a bitch'n tan.
I thank the Islands for showing up for me, my band, and friends with such loud vibrations, and vibrant life. I have no doubt this experience will deliver a unique blend of love juice to be taken through the I. V. of life ~ b

Hi friends.
Very happy to call you friends. Today's blog is on the radness of friends. I love being, making, letting go, and gathering friends. I have the best friends in the world. I used to think a best friend is limited to one or two peeps. No I say! You can have 50 best friends. You can be the miracle worker you already are and best friend the world. Could you imagine? Besties with everyone you meet, EVEN THE PEOPLE THAT SHOW UP TO YOU AS SUCKING! How can we do this you ask? Well this is my theory. Not the truth , just a theory. Treat everyone as if they were your best friend, or treat them how you would with your best friend. Understanding situations, and seeing how the world is showing up for them. For me right now my hands hurt. (Just went through wart removal, not ashamed or embarrassed about it)
Instead of walkin around with a scowl , I am choosing to be so stoked to get these things off. That the pain becomes pleasant, and the snooty girl at the coffee shop bar did not fuel my wounds, because I am not creating her as anything but a rad person at work, and of service to me. She even brought me my food because she was concerned for my hands.
These folks that show up to us as unfriendly, or difficult become your zen masters (as best friends do). These folks become opportunity to think about your current state with a different kind of love. Forgiveness and understanding . jason Mraz and Brett Dennen wrote a song and one of the lyrics is. "Forgiveness is the only kind of love there is!" Rad line right? Walk through life with forgiveness and see what happens. Worked for Jesus, and Gandhi! Please, I implore you to do so. Try these shoes on for a moment.
Reverend E. @ the East bay church in Oakland said, "you can slap my mamma! (and you better not slap my mamma) But I gotta love ya".
What are love songs REALLY about? Boy meets girl, girl falls for boy, Boy screws up, girl freaks, boy does something cool, girl forgives. Imagine if love songs were not so limiting to the universe , and boy meant all life, and girl meant co existence.
LOVE would be all there is. Is it not? Is there anything more we say then "I want love " or "I am love"? In my lil brain I think not.
well johnny cash is on the overhead, my tea is down to 1/4 full, and my Greek salad is now Tasmanian.

end just mean beginnings
Well the end of my 2nd trip to Australia has come to completion. I learned so much on this trip. Words like wanker, and root.... poltzy actually turned me on to those. Also, "Brown Eye" means butt hole. So it was really fun to sing my "brown" song.
Mozzies ate me up last night and my paw paw cream is aiding me nicely. This trip gave me visions of a move sometime in my life to this incredible island of dreams. I do truly love it here. I remembered a ton about the person I wish to create myself as. The leader that I am. The lover that I am. The kind of strength I wish to produce. I have this Tatt of be love. and it works, It has reminded me once again of what those words mean, and being out here has given me a chance to do just that.
I miss my friends already. Steve Potz (stevepoltz.com), tour manager Chris Modl, promoter Milan Crekjhflkb (cant spell his last name for the life of me)
these memories we receive as a gift from god. Memories with people I didn't know I didn't know. I can't wait to meet the next group of best friends. And to the ones I have not spoke with lately. I apologize. I still love you with all my heart, But experience pulls and we follow. We ride these ways of adventure together, even if we are not present to each other, we are present for each other in spirit, in love, and in understanding. Just tell me a good story, and i will even let you lie a bit to enhance the picture in my mind.
Life is all stories. weather you are in one, or hearing of one. that's all we are is a great tale of life and love and adventure. why waste time in argument, and un-committed love.

Where's the Roo
Just a lil good morn from the hotie. Lovely night last night. I braved the ocean, well sort of. took a couple of sandy dives. The show was great, Steve played his heart out. WE have been performing TLC's "water fall" and Dylan's "forever young"
so much fun with these guys. 6 more days then back to the album. This trip is such a blessing. Nothing prolific to share today, just a hello, and a video.
suggestion if your ever in Sydney , find a place called Cafe Giulia's.... I suggest the beat,celery,ginger,apple drink. so good for you, and the staff is awesome.
