A-bun-dance

hey there and howdy ho.
In Montana at the moment while sound check is happening. The weather is fine and I am moments away from taking a scooter ride around the venue.
What comes to mind is what I have been reading up on.
"Abundance".
What is this word is and how it plays an intricate roll in our life's. It is a normal feeling to think there is a place to get to and that we are working toward something.
A certain amount of money, love, and friends. But what is enough? What is the number. There is no number, there is just this imaginary nirvana that lives in the stories that we make up for ourselves.
There are a lot of pressures we allow to happen. My mother always says " when are you buying me that house?" or "when am I going see you on the tonight show" or something to that fact. As if there is a place to get to for happiness to be achieved.
To me what makes sense is that it is all right here. Right now. Heaven, happiness, abundance.
Take notice to your intentions every day. Take notice to how your day is setting itself up as soon as you get up. Were are your thoughts leading you. For whatever you focus your worship towards there you find your abundance.
here are a few amazing quotes I gathered from the cafe gratitude log book.

"Faith begins with an experiment, and ends with an experience."
W.R. Inge

"Let one therefore keep the mind pure, for what man thinks, that he becomes."
The Upanishads

"All that we are is a result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become"
Buddha

  1. Love the William Ralph Inge quote. And it was till i read it when i understood what my grandpa used to tell me "leap into the invisible, reach for the impossible". Of course then he would just stare out the window, as if he could see his own failed experiments, and add "or have a glass of wine, whichever makes you happy".

  2. Not what we have But what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.

  3. Abundance is the only reality for abundance is what we are. We've developed conditional thinking that says abundance is measured by what we accumulate. But what is this Universe made of? What is everything, every form we accumulate made of? It is all Abundance, the same Universal Substance manifesting in a myriad of forms. Abundance is the only reality, we've only practiced ourselves out of that realization. There is either abundance or our resistance to it.

So good to see you writing B.! I love these blogs! ♥

  4. And as the great Julia Cameron says 'we shake the apple tree and the universe delivers us oranges...' Abundance is all around us if we open our eyes and our hearts!

  5. You make a really good point. So much of life is pushing relentlessly towards these goals that you tell yourself will finally make you enough.. good enough, rich enough, impressive enough, successful enough.. but through that, people often miss out on the here and now. This moment that we're in is okay. We are sufficient. Often, I find that when I meet my goal I am still, somehow, dissatisfied in some way -- if I have been focusing in a negative manner. Thanks for reminding me, sir.

  6. My favorite quote:
"The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly."-Siddhartha

  7. Remember, happiness doesn’t depend upon who you are or what you have; it depends solely upon what you think.
