That is SO wrong...I just left LA...but I like this idea of a some Yuletide tunes.
That last comment was, of course, meant as tongue-in-cheek, but there is some awesome Christmas music out there. If you're looking for inspiration and can't stand the muzak shit at the mall, check out the jazz pianist Bill Evans' recordings of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." I think he made 4 recordings of that one tune; the man was a genius. Also, the Jim Cullum Jazz Band featuring the tap-dancer Savion Glover. What he can do with tap shoes shouldn't even be legal.Finally, indulge your inner Scrooge with Bob Rivers' "I am Santa Claus" album -- especially "O Little Town of Bethlehem" set to the tune of "House of the Rising Sun." It's just wrong, but it feels SO right!Be safe in your travels (I'm a mom, so I worry). And Merry Christmas!
