Bush, you have to come to Portugal. I'm sure Jason will come back here, come with him!! I'm sure the people here would love you, and I would LOVE to see you live!! :)
That last comment was, of course, meant as tongue-in-cheek, but there is some awesome Christmas music out there.
If you're looking for inspiration and can't stand the muzak shit at the mall, check out the jazz pianist Bill Evans' recordings of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." I think he made 4 recordings of that one tune; the man was a genius.
Also, the Jim Cullum Jazz Band featuring the tap-dancer Savion Glover. What he can do with tap shoes shouldn't even be legal.
Finally, indulge your inner Scrooge with Bob Rivers' "I am Santa Claus" album -- especially "O Little Town of Bethlehem" set to the tune of "House of the Rising Sun." It's just wrong, but it feels SO right!
Be safe in your travels (I'm a mom, so I worry). And Merry Christmas!
come back to SD
ReplyDeleteI implore you to pop back up to Seattle and infuse a smile into my day.
